WHALE & DOLPHIN WATCHING
The annual migration of whales to our coastline has earned this area the nickname Whale Bay. It’s one of the world’s premier locations to witness these majestic creatures in their natural habitat. Humpback whales migrate from the north between July and November to mate and give birth to their calves, and from the south from December to April. Our warm coastal waters provide food and safety for their young, as well as a classroom to teach them the ways of the sea.
Our tour sets off from the iconic Whale Tail in the Marino Ballena National Park, which includes park admission. During the excursion, you’ll have the opportunity to witness a wide range of ocean wildlife, as well as spend time in open water while exploring the arches and caves of Playa Ventanas and Ballena Island.

CAÑO ISLAND
Experience the vibrant underwater world of Caño Island, home to some of the healthiest coral reefs in Costa Rica, and discover a diverse range of aquatic species during your snorkeling or scuba diving adventure.
Departing from Punta Uvita, the tour takes you on a scenic 1.5-hour boat ride to Caño Island, where you can explore the pristine waters and encounter fascinating marine creatures. Witness whales breaching, sail alongside playful dolphins, and encounter an array of marine life including sea turtles and exotic seabirds. As the tour comes to a close, the boat will sail back to Uvita beach.

RAFTING THE SAVEGRE RIVER

Discover the beauty of the Sierpe River and its lush mangrove forest. The Whale Tail Experience
Our tour begins at Uvita beach, where we’ll paddle out to the end of the iconic Whale’s Tail to explore the protected marine area and observe the abundant sea life while snorkeling. Later, we’ll stop for a refreshing snack on the beach before returning to the starting point. You’ll have the option to spend more time relaxing on the beach after the tour.

MANGROVE BOAT EXPLORATION
Embark on an adventure starting from Sierpe town, named after the river itself, and travel along the Sierpe river to discover the most extensive wetlands conservation area along the Pacific Ocean in Central America.
